Unlike a truck, one wagon can carry 2-3 times more heavy cargo. Therefore, especially heavy, bulky cargo is most convenient for transportation by rail. Rail freight is transported by coated wagons, semi-wagons, platforms, tank wagons, bogies, reefer wagons, 3-foot, 5-foot, 20-foot, 40-foot containers:
